Making a WordPress Website Live
About Course
Are you someone who has set up their laptop as a local web server by installing Wampserver and then installed WordPress on your hard drive? And now, you have designed your website on the localhost and are eager to make it live? Well, this video series is specifically tailored for people like you!
Now, before we dive in, let’s make sure we’re on the same page. We assume that you’re using cPanel as your hosting control panel and that you have separate login details to access it. In case you don’t have it, make sure to reach out to your hosting provider for help. Also, Linux is the operating system for your hosting. Nowadays, this is nearly given, but we just want to make sure we mention it.
It’s important to note that your web hosting account should have at least one free MySQL database, and you should have the ability to change the PHP version. Lastly, make sure you have enough disk space to accommodate your website, especially for OPTION 2 below.
Now, there are two options to choose from depending on your situation:
OPTION 1: If you’re making a website live in a new domain with no website.
OPTION 2: If you’re making a website live in a domain that already has an existing website.
Make sure you select the option that is applicable to you, and let’s get started!
